This is a relatively inexpensive budget request which has a high visibility
factor with the community. I trust that funds will be available from this years
budget to build the sign especially in light of the fact that the project is
already in progress. As stated the community is willing to participate to help
mitigate costs. The primary requirement we have of the district is to make the
sign and provide materials for a structure.
I am in the process of getting a second estimate for the cedar sign to see if we
can do better than the previous quoted amount of $3250. We will continue
proceeding on the assumption that you can find a way to fund this.
Regards,
Bill

Good morning, Bill,
As we discussed on Friday, I followed up with Irwin and Robyn Newton regarding
sign funding possibilities. As I had advised, we have lost the window for using
last year's budget. If you decide to proceed with resources in the
neighbourhood in the coming year, you could still approach Robyn Newton, who
administers the Healthy Neighbourhood Fund. She would require a detailed, costed-out
project proposal to assess. Robyn can be reached at 990-2274. If you require
any further information, please let me know.
